The Location
The apartment is a short walk (10 minutes) from the centre of Lenno and the beautiful Lake Como.  Lenno is an important centre of the western shore of Lake Como, situated between the promontory of Lavedo and to Portezza. Here begins the coastal area, called Tremezzina, which end at the Maiolica. The historical treasures found by archaeological excavations are of Roman origins, providing wealth information relating to Lenno.
Attractions:
The Church of St. Stephen and Baptistery, the Monastery of Acquafredda, so called from a source that springs in the churchyard, was built in the twelfth century and rebuilt in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Furthermore Villa Balbianello a beautiful eighteenth century villa owned by the FAI from 1988 is famed more recently as the location of Hollywood movies such as Star Wars, Ocean Eleven and Casino Royale.
Lenno has many facilities such as restaurants and bars, two supermarkets, banks, shops and a beautiful lido overlooking the wonderful Venus Bay.
Every Tuesday Lenno plays host to a very picturesque Market that runs along the lakeside and where shoppers can find a variety local products.
